Alternatives Annual Celebration: The Art of Youth Leadership

Alternatives annual celebration was held at Christopher Newport University on April 28th. Well wishers packed the beautiful David ballroom, despite the severe weather that evening, to send off the graduating seniors who participated in Alternatives' leadership programs. A Monart student art show greeted attendees; winners of the Weaver-Fagen and Hastee College Scholarships took to the stage, and the assembled crowd got the opportunity to honor former Hampton Mayor, Councilman Joe Spencer with the Spirit of Leadership award. Here are some images of a memorable evening.
