Youth Engagement Teams
Teams of adults and young people are recruited from churches, neighborhoods, and the community. Together they implement service learning projects like neighborhood clean ups, festivals and community wide events.

Young people participate in a wide variety of community service projects that enhance both school and neighborhood life. For example, middle school students assisted in the building of a children’s playground at the beach. Over the course of four weeks, they cleaned, spread mulch and planted shrubs. After its completion, they adopted maintenance of the playground area as a permanent service project. At a local high school, students implemented a “club fair” at the middle school to increase students’ awareness of extracurricular activities.
