CALLIE HARDMAN

Callie is a Northern Virginia native born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia. She relocated to Shepherdstown, West Virginia in 2003 where she began study in Therapeutic recreation at Shepherd University before moving to Newport News in 2004. She is a recent graduate of Chirstopher Newport University, earning her B.A. in Social Work. She was heavily involved in child and youth development throughout college, working closely with Washington D.C.'s Central Union Mission: Camp Bennett and an internship with Alternatives, Inc. Through this she was involved in overseeing programming and implementation, youth staff workers, and volunteer coordination, and was hands on with youth in community organizing at Alternatives. Currently at Alternatives she works with three different youth groups including: Uth Act, WORD! Magazine, and Youthink Coalition.
