SHIREEN HANSEN

Shireen Hansen is the KICK coordinator at Alternatives Inc. KICK stands for Kids Involved in Community Kindness.

This program gets youth involved in their community through a service learning approach. 

She also teaches basic Monart. Monart is a drawing method that allows the student to tap into their inherent creativity. 

The method teaches the individual to perceive the visual world in terms of 5 basic elements of shape.

She was born and raised in Newport News , Virginia .  Attended Christopher Newport University and has worked with young people in various ways throughout her career. She has a love of animals and children.
